Sedgwick County Zoo

Wichita is home to the seventh largest zoo in North America.  Spend the day with over 3,000 animals of nearly 400 different species.   The Sedgwick County Zoo has many interactive exhibits including the new Stingray Cove, where you can feed and touch the stingrays!

Beginning July 22, 2022, the Martha C. Buford Safari Express, an Electric Train manufactured locally by Chance Rides, will take Zoo adventurers on a 1.3-mile journey around the Zoo. Much of the track is behind the scenes, offering guests an opportunity to enjoy never-before-seen views of the Zoo grounds.

Feed the giraffes at the Giraffe Feeding Station or catch a Conservation Cruise and float by Pelican Island, under the Downing Gorilla Forest Bridge, to the North American Prairie, and back to see the Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley.
